The Practical Book for Clinical Microbiology was prepared for the microbiology courses taken by associate degree students. The theoretical parts of the book are purposefully kept short to emphasize the most basic applications, which are explained gradually so as to provide convenience to students in their laboratory studies. Compiled in accordance with the content of the Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology courses of the associate-degree Medical Laboratory Techniques and Pathology Laboratory Techniques programs, this book covers Bacteriology, Mycology and Basic Parasitology. Other application areas of microbiology, including Virology, Molecular Microbiology and Immunology-Serology are disregarded in this book, since they are generally lectured as separate course. The book is intended to support Medical Laboratory Techniques program students and those interested in the field of microbiology.
