In this second of these traditional panels under the name of Cappadocia Economic Meetings, we discussed the topic of “government-university-industry cooperation in Nevşehir”. Among the speakers were representatives from the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology; Nevşehir Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University; the business community; and Cappadocia University. The stakeholders at the meeting, aware of the importance of the science-technology-innovation relationship, reiterated their belief that government-university-industry cooperation is an effective means of increasing productivity and competitiveness in our enterprises. The participants sought to demonstrate with concrete suggestions that institutional restructuring is necessary in this direction.
