Practical Book for Clinical Biochemistry

Practical Book for Clinical Biochemistry was prepared with an eye to the limited number of resource books that can be benefited in applied courses in health sciences. Including the most up-to-date information and methods related to the field, this book offers the opportunity to follow the sequential process steps in all stages from theoretical knowledge to obtaining results. The book presents 48 experimental applications with the name of each test, including process steps and information on the sample type, method, required materials, results obtained from the application and blank areas on which data can be written. This will make it possible to easily follow, through the checklists, the stages of the application procedure when performing operations. Developed by taking into account the deficiencies in the existing textbooks, this method facilitated the transform of the necessary theoretical knowledge into practice, from the observation stage to the successful completion of the skill acquisition process.

With its rich theoretical content and simple explanation of the methods in the follow-up of experiments, the book is an outcome of a meticulous study and will serve as a valuable reference for students of higher education and esteemed colleagues as well as readers who are interested in this field.

Elif Gezer Aslan graduated as second in her class from the Department of Biology Teaching at Selçuk University in 2011 . She completed her master’s studies in Molecular Biology and Genetics in 2013. She started her doctorate studies in General Biology at Selcuk University in 2014. She started to work as the Head of the Program in the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques in Cappadocia Vocational School of High Education in 2015. She has been continuing her career in Medical Laboratory Techniques program at Kırklareli University since 2017. As well as lecturing, she is serving as Unit Quality Representative, Institutional Farabi Coordinator, and Member of Activity Commission at the same university. She conducted studies on plant cytogenetics, karyotype analyses and systematics and laboratory applications.
